We are so excited to have you join our developmental Swim School for the 2024-2025 Season! Our experienced, trained instructors offer a carefully developed curriculum, pending certification from USA Swimming, based on national water safety AND stroke building models, to help your young swimmers gain water confidence and vital safety skills, while building a proper foundation for each of the four competitive strokes.
Other staples of our program?? Lots of FUN, Positive Reinforcement and Basic Goal-setting to help foster a life-long love of this great sport in our youngest Marlins! Read on down for LOTS of great information and Welcome!
Swim School Groups:
PARENT TOT for our 9-36 month old swimmers and their Adult helpers. Through the use of songs, games and play, we teach you how to help your child tolerate and grow to enjoy the water. We will also guide you through life-saving skill progressions to help you increase your child's safety in and around the water!
Max pairs: 8 pairs per class
STARS for our potty-trained 3 years + who are new to the water, but are confident leaving their parent!
Max swimmers: just 4 per class
STARS 6+ for older beginners who are 6-9 years old!
Max swimmers: just 5 per class
STARS 11+ for pre-teens and teens who are new to swim lessons!
Max swimmers: just 5 per class
SHARKS for our potty-trained 3 years + who can confidently catch a breath and fully submerge upon request. They are also starting to explore the water independently.
Max swimmers: just 5 per class
STINGRAYS for our 4 years + who can demonstrate proper unsupported body position on top of the water, front and back. Think a relaxed front float with face in, and a relaxed back float with head back and tummy up! Our STINGRAYS must come with an established flutter kick and be comfortable in deeper water.
Max swimmers: just 5 per class
MINI-MARLINS for our 4 years + who are proficient in all prior skills and: freestyle (without side breathing is okay!) and backstroke for 12-15 yards. They are very safe in water over their heads and are ready to master side-breathing freestyle and competition backstroke, while learning foundational butterfly and breaststroke kicks and drills. Upon successful demonstration of MINI-MARLIN skills, we graduate our swimmers to the Team’s Level 1 practice group!
Regardless, all Mini-Marlins will have the chance to participate in an exhibition “meet” at the end of our Session! Fun!

We will be holding in-water class placement evaluations during the month of August on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm at Knollwood Country Club. Email RSVP is required, so please let us know you're coming!
PLEASE NOTE:
- Most evening and weekend classes meet once per week, and have 13/14 scheduled swims over the Session. We do offer twice-weekly evening classes for our higher levels for those families seeking a larger commitment and quicker progress; those classes are scheduled to meet 24 times over the 3.5 month period!
- We DO have built-in breaks for holidays and vacations! Check out our Fall 2024 Swim School Schedule page of this website for our holiday/vacation no-swim dates and mark your calendars today!
- IMPORTANT: No switching classes, or dropping into a different class at your same level is ever allowed. Know that: if you must miss one of your scheduled class dates, we will always provide tips and skills for you to work on, on your own that week! We are always ready to support you in the event of a missed class, simply not in another one. Our swimmers’ success depends on known, small-groups developing together with their assigned instructor over the course of a Session, without interruption. Thank you.**

STARS groups offered FALL 2024
Monday: 3:30 pm, 4:45 pm. Tuesday: 10:20 am. Wednesday: 3:30 pm, 4:05 pm. Thursday: 10:20 am. Saturday: 9:00 am, 9:40 am.
STARS 6+ offered FALL 2024:
Monday: 3:30 pm. Wednesday: 3:30 pm. Saturday: 9:00 am.
STARS 11+ offered FALL 2024:
Tuesday: 6:15 pm.
SHARKS groups offered FALL 2024:
Monday: 4:05 pm, 5:25 pm. Tuesday: 9:45 am. Wednesday: 4:05 pm, 4:45 pm. Thursday: 11 am, 6:15 pm. Saturday: 9:40 am, 10:20 am.
STINGRAYS groups offered FALL 2024:
1x / week: Monday: 4:05 pm. Thursday: 10:20 am. Saturday: 9:00 am, 10:20 am.
2x / week: Mon/Wed: 4:45 pm.
MINI-MARLINS groups offered FALL 2024:
1x / week: Monday: 5:25 pm. Tuesday: 11:00 am, 5:35 pm. Saturday: 9:40 am.
2x / week: Mon/Wed: 4:05 pm.
Fees and Dues:
Non-Refundable Annual Registration Fee: $70
USA Swimming Flex Membership Fee: $30
(Three twelve-week sessions offered annually.)
Non-Refundable Registration Fee is due in full at time of registration. Swimmers planning to return in Winter 2025 will not pay this twice, it is an annual fee!
Total Session Dues for Once Weekly Classes:
Once weekly Classes (12-14 swims): $210-$248 depending on class day/classes offered (10% discount for Knollwood Country Club members)
Twice weekly Classes (23-24 swims): $448 (10% discount for Knollwood Country Club members)
For an additional $20 Fee ($5 per Installment), Session Dues can be split into four equal installments billed monthly for four months.
